Six Blades Yorktown has created over 3450 Prospects only a year after we launched our uplifted Prospects List in August 2025. Every lead was and still is managed through their Kicksite software. For owner Ben Eaton, Lead Generation and Prospect Management has become a science. We had the pleasure of chatting with Ben to pick his brain about his process and what has made it so great for him.

Ben Eaton was first introduced to Kicksite by his mentor, Saulo Ribeiro, in August of 2019. Ben was using MindBody before adopting Kicksite, but found it to be lacking in areas specifically for martial arts. What made Kicksite stand out to him? The dedication to serve Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. When he demoed the software live at World Masters with the Kicksite team he knew the software checked all his boxes and was ready to make the switch.

Through seamless integration and robust customization, the Prospects List has saved Ben countless hours of manual work. Using six key Prospect Stages helps him get granular with tracking where potential students are at in their interest and trial process. Despite currently having hundreds of active Prospects in his system, the structured layout makes it easy to view contacts and upcoming trials at a glance.

“It keeps it pretty organized for me… Saves me a ton of time… It makes it real easy”

Ben’s outreach starts as soon someone expresses interest, whether that’s organically through his website or via paid Google Ads. From there, they go right into his Prospects List where he can track his communication and take them from a lead to a trial membership, and then hopefully convert them into a new member of Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Yorktown.

Ben’s 6 Prospect Stages are:

  1. Lead
  2. Called / Left Voicemail
  3. Appointment
  4. Trial
  5. Did not enroll
  6. Drop-In

How was the process when you were first getting set up with the Prospects List?

Really easy. I don’t think I had much to do with it. There really aren’t a whole lot of variables with it. It was just – whatever the necessary information that I needed to know was right there – easy for me. It was very very user-friendly.

“I don’t think there’s been anything that Kicksite hasn’t been able to solve for me… the platform is super reliable.”

Beyond Prospects, Kicksite serves as Ben’s central hub for every other part of running Six Blades Yorktown with student management, promotions, marketing, and more. After 16 years of industry experience, he has the knowledge to predict enrollment trends. Rather than seasonal marketing tactics, he leans on Kicksite’s vitals and analytics.

After 16 years of owning Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Yorktown, Ben Eaton has experimented with various martial arts software systems and tactics, but Kicksite is the one that stuck. From meeting the team at World Masters in 2019 to the uplifted Prospects List, the software has grown right alongside his academy. Kicksite is the system he trusts to keep hundreds of leads organized and his academy growing, one trial class at a time.
