The Key Differences

Standard-Site-Graphic.png

Kicksite provides in-house, custom website design services along with our industry-leading martial arts software. This allows martial arts schools to fully manage their martial arts school’s operations and online presence through one provider – Kicksite. With Kicksite’s website design services, we take care of everything for you, from design and copywriting to search engine optimization. We’ll also handle any future updates to your site so you can worry about training and teaching.

BJJLINK does not offer website services to pair with their member management software. If martial arts schools are looking for a one-stop shop to manage their day-to-day operations and online presence, they would have to juggle multiple vendors.

Kicksite was founded in 2007 as a martial arts software solution and has been serving the martial arts community for nearly 20 years. From recessions to pandemics to new competition and more, Kicksite has weathered many storms alongside our customers and continues to learn, grow and get better each and every day. To date, Kicksite has served over 7,000 martial arts schools from all over the world.

BJJLINK was founded in 2018 as an online social network (BJJLINK Connect) for BJJ instructors and gym owners. Only in recent years has BJJLINK developed their software product, BJJLINK Admin+.

Kicksite is an independently-owned small business that partners with our customers to make their life easier and grow their business. Kicksite makes decisions with one goal in mind: helping our customers. We mean it when we say, We Make Businesses Better, and are working hard every day to improve our software and meet our customers’ needs.

BJJLINK is one of multiple companies under the MMA Inc. umbrella, who recently sold a significant portion of their shares to a major investment firm and is a publicly traded company. School owners may want to be wary of a company that has to satisfy investors and shareholders first, customers second.

Kicksite does not charge any mandatory, additional services fees for any of our software tiers. The price you see on our website for our software is exactly what you will pay each month.

BJJLINK charges customers on their Black plan ($49/month) an additional 1% service fee on all payment transactions through the system. That means a school on the Black plan with 50 students paying $150/month in tuition will end up paying BJJLINK $49/month plus $75/month in service fees.

The Final Verdict

Kicksite

With nearly 20 years of experience as a premier martial arts software solution and in-house website design services, Kicksite is the best software choice for all martial arts schools. Plus, Kicksite’s independent ownership means your software provider will be working for YOU. At Kicksite, your school will have a partner, not just a product.

BJJLINK

BJJLINK is a BJJ-focused software that could be a good choice for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms who are looking for a software solution only (no website services). Smaller schools who would prefer the lower-cost Black plan from BJJLINK must consider the cost of the 1% service fee when making a decision on their software provider. BJJLINK's ownership structure as a publicly traded company also raises questions about their priorities and potential negative impacts on support and service.
