Scheduled Freeze | August 2026
No more jotting down dates to freeze someone later. No need to handle memberships & recurring billings separately. The new Scheduled Freeze & Unfreeze feature is here to save you time and help your business to run more smoothly.
You no longer need to remember to freeze a student on the day of their needed pause. If you already know a student is stepping away — summer sports season, a family trip, a planned closure over the holidays — you can schedule the freeze now for a date down the road. You can also set the unfreeze date at the same time, so the student comes back on their own without anyone having to remember to bring them back manually.

The billing side is handled for you too. When the freeze starts, memberships and recurring billings inactivate automatically. When the unfreeze happens, they reactivate automatically too. This new enhancement means:
- No more post-it notes required to remind you about different freeze and unfreeze dates for your students and members!
- When you are freezing someone, there are no more separate steps to inactivate and reactivate Memberships or Recurring Billings.
For Students with Limited Term Memberships, you’ll also be given the option to extend the Membership during a freeze. When the option to extend is turned on, at the time of unfreeze, the Membership’s end date and the recurring billing are extended by the length of the freeze.

All of it works in bulk from the Student List as well, which is where it really earns its keep for schools with seasonal breaks and other short term breaks:
- Bring a group back with bulk unfreeze whenever needed
- Freeze a whole group at once, now or on a future date
- Set one unfreeze date for the group while you’re at it

We are so delighted to be able to deliver this time saving tool into your software, and we’d love to hear how you’re utilizing it once you get to try it out! ❄️
