How to Use the Contact List
Just like the other lists of profiles in Kicksite, the Contact List allows you to view all of your Contacts in one place. It shows each person’s phone number and email, and lets you convert them to a Prospect or Student if needed. Admins can even merge duplicate Contact profiles into one Student!
What is a Contact?
Contacts are a type of profile for people who have no intent to attend your school, but still need to be saved in the system. For example, you could save a child’s parent as a Contact, and set them as the Primary for a Family Profile.
To find a specific Contact, search their name in the Universal Search. Make sure to select the Contact Profile Type in Filters.
To get to the List, click the Profiles icon in the left sidebar, then Contact List. You can also search for it in Quick Links.
Contact List Overview

The List has three tabs: Active, Inactive, and Merged. To learn more about Merging profiles, click here.
The Active and Inactive tabs list the date the profile was added, its name, email, phone number, and source. To sort the date and name columns, you can click the arrows to the right of the label.
The Merged tab lists the merge date, original profile’s name, the profile it was merged with, the employee that performed the merge, and the original information on the Contact profile. The merged profile’s History module also shows this information.
If a Contact is in a Family, an icon of three grouped people will show next to their name. Clicking on their name will take you to their profile, and from there you can navigate to the rest of the Family.
Filters
On the Active and Inactive tabs, you can select a date range to view only the Contacts created in that time. Additionally, you can filter by Source, and if a Contact has or does not have a Payment Method.
On the Merged tab, you can select a date range to view only the profiles that were merged in that time.
Actions on the List

Click the Add New button in the upper right to create a new Contact.
Beneath the Add New button, you can search for a name. This looks across all three tabs.
Tab-Specific Actions
Depending on the tab you’re on (Active, Inactive, or Merged), there are different actions.
On the Active tab:
- Add to Family – If they are already in a Family, this option will not appear.
- Convert to Prospect
- Convert to Student

- Inactivate
On the Inactive tab:
- Restore – Reactivates the Contact.
- Delete – Permanently deletes the Contact. You cannot undo this action.
There are no actions on the Merged tab; it’s for records keeping only.
- To see the Student the Contact was combined into, click the name in the Merged With column.
